Lawyer Requests Forensic Psychology Expertise in Teen Murder Case

Buenos Aires, Argentina. The lawyer for the mother of 16-year-old Paloma Gallardo, who was murdered along with her boyfriend Josué Salvatierra in the Buenos Aires town of Florencio Varela, has requested the intervention of a forensic psychology specialist. Aníbal Osorio, representing Alicia Pita, spoke with the Argentine News Agency and explained that he submitted the request to prosecutor Darío Provisionato, head of the Functional Unit of Instruction and Trial No. 1 of Florencio Varela. The goal is to evaluate the conduct, mentality, and profile of the perpetrator or those involved in the double murder. "This initiative aims to incorporate a technical-professional analysis into the process, based on tools from legal psychology and forensic criminology," the lawyer specified. Nearly a year after the event, the case filed as homicide criminis causae remains without arrests, so it is hoped that an expert can provide scientifically accurate elements for the file and contribute to the reconstruction of the events and the comprehensive clarification of the case. In this context, the proposal is under consideration by the Public Prosecutor's Office, which is conducting the investigation into the murders of the young people committed on January 30. The autopsy revealed that the 16-year-old girl died from a "brain injury" caused by a "skull fracture" and a "severe head trauma," while the 14-year-old boy died from a "brain hemorrhage," also with a "skull fracture" and "severe head trauma."
