Today, Judge of Guarantees Fernando Pinos Guevara accepted the request for preventive detention for those involved in the triple murder of young women Brenda Del Castillo, Morena Verdi, and Lara Gutiérrez, who were killed 40 days ago in the town of Florencio Varela, in the province of Buenos Aires. Additionally, the magistrate awaits a response from representatives of the Federal Justice to confirm if the case is transferred to that jurisdiction. Meanwhile, Pinos Guevara accepted the request from the prosecution, led by Adrián Arribas, to order the preventive detention of those involved in the murder of the three teenagers. Likewise, in recent hours, Joseph Freyser Zabaleta Cubas was arrested. He was already imprisoned in the Alcaldía on Cavia Street, in Palermo, on a drug trafficking case and was set to be extradited to Peru. However, due to this new request, his extradition is on hold. The individual, of Peruvian nationality and known as 'Señor Jota', was pointed out as the alleged mastermind of the triple murder, perpetrated on September 20th on a farm in Florencio Varela, in the southern conurbation. In the case investigating the triple murder of the girls, “Señor Jota” was charged with the crimes of “illegal deprivation of liberty, aggravated by the plurality of participants and because one of the victims was a minor, in conjunction with aggravated homicide of two or more people, for being premeditated, with treachery and cruelty, and by a man's violence against a woman, and for the sake of the crime”. Therefore, there are now eleven detainees in this case, as Mónica Mujica, 37, the wife of Víctor Sotacuro (41), was also added to the list. Meanwhile, Miguel Ángel Villanueva Silva (25), Iara Daniela Ibarra (19), Maximiliano Andrés Parra (18), Celeste Magalí González Guerrero (28), Milagros Florencia Ibáñez (20), Matías Agustín Ozorio (28), and Ariel Giménez (29) also remain in custody. Meanwhile, Tony Janzen Valverde Victoriano - alias 'Pequeño J' - was arrested in Peru, his home country. Likewise, 'Señor Jota' was already imprisoned on other drug-related charges. For now, there are three fugitives from Justice with Interpol red notices: Alex Ydone Castillo, David Gustavo Huamani (alias 'El Loco' David), and Manuel Valverde Rodríguez, all of Peruvian nationality.
