Joseph Freyser Zabaleta Cubas, better known as Señor Jota, who is pointed out as the intellectual author of the triple narco-crime in Florencio Varela, is being investigated today by prosecutor Adrián Arribas following his detention in the case of the murders of Brenda del Castillo, Morena Verdi, and Lara Gutiérrez. The man, who was imprisoned in Palermo on a drug trafficking charge and was due to be extradited to Peru shortly, was detained in the triple murder case after a woman, whose identity is reserved and who is deprived of her liberty, informed on Señor Jota's involvement. Zabaleta Cubas has already been charged in said case with the crimes of “illegal deprivation of liberty, aggravated by the plurality of participants and because one of the victims was a minor, in concurrent real estate with aggravated homicide for being premeditated against two or more people, for being committed with treachery and cruelty, and for violence by a man against a woman, and for the cause of the crime”. In her statement, the prisoner stated that the ten detainees in the case worked under his command and that he himself would have commanded the attack from his cell.
