A disabled teenager was found dead in her home in the city of Federación, Entre Ríos, causing shock as her parents have been detained. The investigation is looking into the possibility that the minor died three days ago.
The discovery occurred on Thursday afternoon in a house located between Las Rosas and Tita Bonutti streets, in the Entre Ríos locality of Federación. A relative, who is also a minor, found her and immediately alerted the police, according to the Argentine News Agency.
According to the local media outlet Entremedios Web, the victim had a serious disability and was wheelchair-bound. The case is being handled by prosecutor Josefina Penón, who stated that it has been classified as “abandonment of person followed by death” and ordered the detention of both adults.
The corresponding examinations were carried out at the residence, and the minor's body was transferred to the judicial morgue to perform an autopsy. The objective is to determine when she died, her general state of health, and the causes of her death.
