A dangerous trafficker was captured in Ensenada by the Superintendence of Investigations of Illicit Drug Trafficking Delegation La Plata. The arrest was made after an undercover operation in which the agents hid in an ambulance to avoid raising suspicions and ensure the capture of the criminal. The investigation began on January 22 in response to reports of drug trafficking in the area.
Dante Antonio Ramírez, identified as a drug dealer, was arrested in the street. During the operation, cocaine, two mobile phones, nylon wrappers, and a scale were seized. The police intervention was based on previously gathered evidence, such as videos, photos, and surveillance, which revealed the criminal activity in the sector. Previous arrests of consumers confirmed the drug distribution method.
The prosecutor of UFI 18 of La Plata, Hugo Tesón, ordered the detention of Ramírez for possession of narcotics with intent to sell and requested corresponding legal actions. Additionally, a shipment of cocaine valued at $536,000 was seized during the operation carried out at two addresses on Rodríguez street between Hernández and Andrade, where the retail sale of drugs was confirmed.
