A man was killed during a robbery at his home in the Santa Cruz province, and the report was filed by a neighbor who went to ask the victim for cigarettes and found two men inside the house. There is shock over the brutality of the case.
The incident occurred in the early hours of New Year's Day when a man went to the local police station to report that he had gone to his neighbor's house, located at the intersection of calle 374 and Fagnano Estey, where he was received by an unknown person carrying a weapon.
Immediately, officers went to the residence and interviewed the victim's partner, who allowed them to enter. Inside the house, they found the man dead, showing signs of violence. According to the local news outlet Nuevo Día, medical personnel were requested, who confirmed the victim's death.
Meanwhile, personnel from the El Calafate Second Division Police Station initiated the corresponding proceedings. After the first testimonies, it was learned that minutes before the discovery, the 48-year-old man was robbed by two thieves, one of whom was armed and demanded money from a supposed real estate operation.
According to information from the Argentine News Agency (NA), after the owner's refusal, a fight occurred, during which the man died. The death certificate notes that the victim died of an acute myocardial infarction due to the brutality of the criminals.
