
The mayor of El Bolsón, Bruno Pogliano, expressed his condolences and those of the entire community of El Bolsón to the family and loved ones of a person who lost their life amidst the wildfires in the region. He thanked the collaboration of the governor of Río Negro, Alberto Weretilneck, for sending aerial assistance to combat the fire, as well as the solidarity shown by the governor of Chubut, Ignacio Torres, who provided resources to fight the fires in the mountains.
The provincial government has made firefighters, firefighters, and various resources available to Río Negro to actively assist in firefighting efforts and in rescue and assistance tasks in the affected area. Pogliano demanded justice and the maximum punishment for those who caused the destruction of homes and forests in the region.
On a different note, the mayor lamented the death of an elderly neighbor who died while trying to extinguish the fire. He expressed his deep sadness over the loss and reaffirmed the commitment to continue working hard to control and extinguish all fires in the mountains as soon as possible.
For his part, Bruno Pogliano referred through his social networks to the wildfires in the Río Negro town, labeling the events as a crime. He highlighted that according to the investigations conducted, it was determined that it was not an accident, but an intentional act. He assured that justice is already investigating those responsible for this criminal act that claimed a life and caused enormous damage to the community, and emphasized that impunity will not be allowed in such a serious situation.
