The governor of Río Negro, Alberto Weretilneck, thanked his Buenos Aires counterpart Axel Kicillof for sending firefighters to reinforce efforts against wildfires in the Cordillera. With personnel working tirelessly and part of the team accessing the most complex areas of the fire, the goal is to maintain and strengthen the fight in the more accessible terrains and ensure the monitoring of the ashes.

The mayor of El Bolsón, Bruno Pogliano, also expressed his gratitude to the governors of Río Negro and Chubut for the air reinforcements sent. Both showed solidarity at the scene, offering resources to combat the flames in the area. Weretilneck and Pogliano led a key meeting with provincial and municipal teams at the Emergency Committee to continue assisting those affected.

"I want to highlight the solidarity of everyone involved in this fight: firefighters, brigadists, security forces, and neighbors who contributed with their resources. We are working shoulder to shoulder from the Province and the Municipality so that no one feels alone," emphasized Weretilneck. He noted that once the fire is under control and the ground cooled, work will begin to restore electrical energy in the affected area.

"I thank the governor of Buenos Aires, Axel Kicillof, for sending brigadists from his province, coordinated with the government of Río Negro, to strengthen efforts at this crucial moment. Together, we will overcome this situation," concluded the provincial leader.
