A player from Club Barrio Ardiles was arrested for causing serious injuries after attacking a referee following the final of the B category match against Club Villa Las Rosas in Córdoba. The incident took place in the Los Eucaliptus area. After the final whistle, the 25-year-old footballer Ramiro Javier Carreras lunged at the 36-year-old referee José Olguín and punched him in the face, causing severe injuries. A medical examination confirmed a double jaw fracture and the loss of dental pieces. The police confirmed the attack and arrested the player, who was taken into custody. The footballer is at the disposal of the magistrate while the prosecutor's office investigates the case under the charge of qualified serious injuries.
