AFA President Claudio 'Chiqui' Tapia visited Talleres' facilities and even took photos with its Córdoba club president, Andrés Fassi, with whom his relationship has significantly improved in recent months. 'It has been a very good day,' was Tapia's message, where he could be seen alongside the young players from Talleres' lower divisions and Fassi. The relationship between Tapia and Fassi has improved greatly in recent months after the latter apologized for his remarks against the AFA president. It all began after Talleres' elimination from the 2024 Copa Argentina against Boca, when he made serious accusations against Tapia: 'Since 2020 he has been harming us... Chiqui, not only did you not receive me when I was in Buenos Aires, but you repeatedly harm an institution that deserves respect.' However, Fassi backtracked on his statements a few months ago, acknowledging that he was wrong with his criticisms of Tapia. While the relationship between Tapia and Fassi seems to have been repaired, it was the AFA treasurer and social media troll, Pablo Toviggino, who did not forgive those criticisms, calling him 'stone-faced,' 'traitor,' and 'liar.' This improvement in Tapia's relationship with Fassi coincidentally comes amid the complicated situation Talleres is going through, as with only two matchdays left in the Torneo Clausura, they are three points away from the relegation zone. AFA President Claudio 'Chiqui' Tapia visited Talleres' facilities and even took photos with its Córdoba club president, Andrés Fassi, with whom his relationship has significantly improved in recent months. 'It was a pleasure to tour the facilities of Talleres in Córdoba and visit the boys and girls from the children's categories who are going to compete in the AFA. I want to thank Andrés Fassi for the invitation. I handed him four different proposals to improve Argentine football.'
