The president of Argentinos Juniors, Cristián Malaspina, stated that the Copa Argentina is a business venture aimed at making a profit and that the organization prioritized the clubs' request to choose Córdoba as the venue for the final on Wednesday. This Wednesday at 21:10 local time, the team from the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Paternal will face Independiente Rivadavia from Mendoza at the Juan Domingo Perón stadium in Córdoba, in the final of the 2025 Copa Argentina. Although it was speculated that the match would be held at the La Pedrera stadium in San Luis, the Copa Argentina organization agreed to the clubs' request to play at a midpoint convenient for both teams and their fans, such as Córdoba. In response to this decision, Argentinos Juniors' social networks thanked the organization, and President Malaspina explained the situation:
«The thanks to Copa Argentina is because they are a private company that seeks to make money. We all knew that going to San Luis was the possible venue because for them there would be no organization cost, it was covered by the provincial government».
«The organization prioritized the request of both clubs to go to a stadium that is comfortable for the people, with the possibility of having hotels and traveling by plane. A stadium where the police is used to organizing a football match because, unfortunately, in San Luis it is not like that. They prioritized the clubs' request for the sake of the people instead of making money, that's why I thought the thanks was appropriate», he added.
