Rosario Central Draws 0-0 Against Talleres

Rosario Central drew 0-0 against Talleres de Córdoba in the Professional League. The team aims to return to winning ways in their next match against Gimnasia and Esgrima.

Rosario Central Draws 0-0 Against Talleres

The Rosario Central team drew 0-0 as a visitor against Talleres de Córdoba in a match corresponding to the ninth round of the Apertura Tournament of the Professional Football League. The match took place at the Mario Alberto Kempes stadium. With this result, Rosario Central is positioned as a runner-up in Zone B of the championship with 18 points, two behind the leader, Independiente.

The team led by Ariel Holan will seek to recover after their 1-0 defeat against Boca and the draw in this match, when they face Gimnasia y Esgrima (La Plata) next Saturday at 18:30. Rosario Central hopes that Independiente loses points in their classic match in Avellaneda against Racing to reclaim the top position in the standings.

On the other hand, Talleres de Córdoba still cannot add three points at home, having obtained their only victory in the League Cup against San Martín de San Juan by 1-0 at the Ingeniero Hilario Sánchez stadium. The team coached by Alexander Medina is currently in thirteenth position in the table with 6 points and will play as visitors against Sarmiento de Junín next Saturday at 21:00.

Despite Talleres' inconsistency in the local league, the team recently won a final on penalties against River for the International Supercup and is preparing to compete in the Copa Libertadores. Talleres must improve swiftly if they wish to perform well on the continental stage.

Regarding the match development, despite the expectations due to both teams needing to gather points, the encounter lacked excitement and goal-scoring opportunities were scarce. Rosario Central had its clearest chance to score through Enzo Copetti, but Talleres' goalkeeper, Guido Herrera, was attentive and prevented the goal on two occasions, keeping the net intact.
