The coach of Belgrano de Córdoba, Walter Erviti, has stated that he is not setting deadlines for his position following the poor start in the Apertura Tournament of the Liga Profesional. The team has only accumulated one point in three matches, securing a 1-1 draw against Huracán and suffering defeats of 4-0 against Racing and Independiente Rivadavia de Mendoza respectively.
The start of Erviti's tenure at Belgrano has been catastrophic. After the initial draw against Huracán and the painful 4-0 defeat to Racing in Avellaneda, the 3-0 loss at home against Independiente Rivadavia de Mendoza triggered a unanimous chorus of chants calling for his dismissal.
Amid pressure and disapproval from the Belgrano fans, Walter Erviti declared that they are working hard to build a competitive team. He highlighted the club's effort in signing talented players and took responsibility for providing the team with the necessary structure to compete at the highest level.
The coach, who was a champion with Banfield in the Apertura Tournament 2009 as a player, emphasized that it is a process that takes time and that, despite the weaknesses shown in the early matches, there have also been positive things accomplished.
Regarding the recent defeat against Independiente Rivadavia de Mendoza, Erviti analyzed: "In all the matches, we reach the opponent's goal, we do not convert as we should, and certain specific situations destabilize us and affect us emotionally. We must highlight the commitment of the fans who support the team, and although the losses hurt, I understand their emotional reaction and respect it."
The coach expressed his enjoyment for the support from the fans, acknowledging the pressure that comes with each match and the uncertainty that his profession entails. He concluded that he is committed to conveying calm and working hard to turn things around for Belgrano, emphasizing that each day is a challenge and an opportunity to improve.
