March for Justice in Córdoba for Victims

A tragic event shook the city of Rosario, Argentina, where Tania Daniela Gandolfi, 41, and her 16-year-old daughter Agustina García lost their lives after being struck by a driver exceeding 120 km/h in a zone with a speed limit of 60 km/h. This driver, identified as Agustín L., 20 years old, will be charged with double homicide.

The victims' family, together with Agustina's schoolmates, has organized a gathering to pay tribute to Tania and Agustina, as well as to demand justice for what happened. The mobilization will take place next Monday, the 27th, at 9 am in the Patio Olmos, in the city of Córdoba.

Agustín L. is currently hospitalized, and judicial authorities are waiting for his medical discharge to proceed with the formal charge of simple double homicide with eventual intent. The victims were originally from Córdoba and were walking along the waterfront in Rosario when the tragic accident occurred.

It was confirmed that the young driver struck Tania and Agustina at a speed greater than 120 km/h, and there is suspicion that he was participating in illegal races with another motorcyclist. Images from a speed camera captured the moment when the vehicle vastly exceeded the speed limit set in the area, reinforcing the accusations against him. The legislation provides for a sentence of between 8 and 25 years in prison for this type of crime.
