The governor of Entre Ríos, Gustavo Bordet, highlighted the importance of public works in the province during his recent visit to the construction site of the former Route 26. The intervention on this road, which began on December 19 and has an execution period of 90 days, is part of a broader plan that includes improvements on various provincial roads. Accompanied by local and provincial authorities, Bordet emphasized his government's commitment to carrying out necessary works to ensure safety and trafficability in the region. The governor mentioned that, despite the scarcity of resources, essential works are being carried out to improve road infrastructure. According to Planning Minister Darío Schneider, the work plan covers several routes in the province, prioritizing those that require more attention. The investment in the former Route 26 amounts to 211 million pesos and is financed through the Administrative Commission for the Special Fund of Salto Grande (Cafesg). The governor stressed the importance of not postponing works that can save lives and underscored the commitment of his administration to the safety of citizens. The mayor of Colón, José Luis Walser, also expressed his satisfaction with the start of the works, highlighting the positive impact they will have on the local community. During the inspection of the works, it was detailed that the intervention covers a stretch of 6,400 meters from the bridge over the Artalaz stream to 2 de Abril Street in San José, with a connection at the roundabout of the Christ monument. Bordet committed to seeking additional resources to make further improvements once the emergency work is completed.
