The Ministry of Economy of the Nation pre-awarded this Friday the share package of four Comahue hydroelectric plants, within the framework of the privatization process of business units of the state-owned companies ENARSA and NASA. According to what the Argentine News Agency learned, through Resolution 2059/2025, Minister Luis Caputo approved what was done in the second stage of the public contest for the sale of one hundred percent of the share capital of the companies that operate the Alicurá, El Chocón, Cerros Colorados and Piedra del Águila complexes. For the Piedra del Águila plant, the pre-award went to the company Central Puerto S.A., which presented an offer of 245 million dollars. and the Mendocinas Companies Consortium for Potrerillos was left with the pre-award of the Alicurá and Cerros Colorados plants. For its part, the El Chocón complex was assigned to the consortium led by BML Inversora S.A.U. and MSU Energy, among other partners, for a total amount of 235,671,294 dollars. Meanwhile, the group made up of Edison Inversiones S.A.U. The offers amounted to 162,040,002 dollars and 64,174,002 dollars, respectively, after a process that included requests for price improvements for the latter case. The Evaluation Commission considered that the one-dollar proposals made by these firms constituted a " vile or not serious price, in a palpable and manifest way ". The Ministry of Economy set for next December 22 the signing of the concession and transfer contracts with the pre-awardees in the city of Cipolletti, province of Río Negro. These contracts will come into force once the final award resolution is published in the Official Gazette.
