A 46-year-old man was arrested in the town of Cañuelas, Buenos Aires province, accused of sexual abuse and virtual sexual harassment of a minor. The incident occurred in La Matanza, where the accused led a religious temple. The man was detained during a series of raids, during which two notebooks, four cell phones, a video camera, and two USB drives were seized. He was formally charged with 'Aggravated simple sexual abuse in real conjunction with Virtual sexual harassment – Grooming'. The case is under the direction of Judge Rubén Occhipinti and the prosecution specialized in crimes related to human trafficking, cyberpedophilia, and grooming. The investigation began after a complaint from the girl's mother, who reported that the suspect had maintained inappropriate contacts with her daughter through social networks and also during personal meetings at the temple. Specialists carried out digital analysis tasks, inspecting the suspect's home in Cañuelas and the temple to establish locations, schedules, and the dynamics of the place. It was also found that the suspect had a previous criminal record for similar offenses. According to the victim's descriptions, the sexual abuse occurred in the back of the temple, so a thorough on-site inspection and photographs were taken.
