Argentinian Players Criticize Controversial Influencer Debut

After the training of the Argentine national team at the Ezeiza training center, midfielders Rodrigo De Paul and Leandro Paredes commented on the controversial debut of influencer Iván Buhajeruk at Deportivo Riestra, known as "Spreen", stating that "this was not the way".

Spreen's debut took place at the Guillermo Laza Stadium, participating in the match for only 59 seconds, which generated criticism and questions about ethics in competition. This situation arises at a time when Argentine football faces challenges such as violence in stadiums, lack of infrastructure in some clubs, and allegations of corruption in refereeing.

De Paul and Paredes, key figures in the national team, emphasized that these actions do not reflect the effort and dedication necessary to reach a professional level. De Paul highlighted the importance of sacrifice and perseverance in football to reach the First Division, emphasizing that the message to convey is crucial. Although he acknowledged the relevance of marketing in sports, he stressed that it should not distract from the effort required in professional football.

Paredes, from his experience in European and Argentine football, also expressed his disapproval of the episode, stating that it is not an example for young people. The midfielder from AS Roma emphasized the sacrifices that many players make to reach the First Division, adding that, although he has nothing against Spreen, what happened "is not good at all".
