Boca's Coach Gago Plans Defensive Changes for Match

Boca's technical director, Fernando Gago, is planning to make several changes in defense for the upcoming match against Deportivo Riestra, on the nineteenth date of the Liga Profesional de Fútbol. It will be Gago's debut at La Bombonera, and an offensive starting eleven is expected to be fielded to seek victory in the local tournament.

Among the modifications being considered are the entries of Nicolás Figal and Juan Barinaga in place of Marcos Rojo and Luis Advíncula, who are dealing with physical discomfort. Cristian Lema is also expected to replace Aaron Anselmino in defense. Marcelo Saracchi could occupy the left-back position instead of Lautaro Blanco.

After his outstanding performance in the previous match, Leandro Brey is expected to be confirmed as the starting goalkeeper, leaving Sergio Romero on the bench. The tactical scheme may revert to 4-3-3, with Tomás Belmonte, Ignacio Miramón, and Guillermo Fernández in the midfield.

In attack, the presence of Exequiel Zeballos and Brian Aguirre is anticipated, along with Edinson Cavani as the center forward instead of Miguel Merentiel, who is injured. Boca's lineup against Deportivo Riestra could be as follows: Leandro Brey; Juan Barinaga, Nicolás Figal, Cristian Lema, Marcelo Saracchi; Tomás Belmonte, Ignacio Miramón, Guillermo Fernández; Brian Aguirre, Edinson Cavani, Exequiel Zeballos, under the technical direction of Fernando Gago.
