Support During Difficult Times in Boca Juniors

The member of Boca's Football Council, Mauricio "Chicho" Serna, praised President Juan Román Riquelme's intervention in the club's current situation. Serna highlighted Román's attitude towards the hooligans and the love he shows for the colors and the club amid the incidents. Referring to Cristian Medina's decision not to play due to not being transferred to Fenerbahce, Serna supported Riquelme and expressed: "I believe Fernando was clear. We have to be happy that we've moved on."

Regarding the decision to support the president, Serna mentioned that both he and the other members of the Council, Raúl Cascini and Chelo Delgado, chose to back Riquelme during this complicated time: "These are reactions you have in those moments. It's like with children. This is not the time to talk about it; let's see what happens tomorrow or the day after. I don't know how much we could contribute, but we tried to calm our fans."

Serna indicated that they will meet with Cristian soon, although he believes that this is not the right time. The former player explained that young people sometimes need to experience things for themselves, despite the advice given to them. Serna concluded that the current situation demonstrates the fans' love in difficult times: "The fans show us love in a difficult moment, full of helplessness."
