Patricio Toranzo, a former Huracán and River player, has reached an agreement to start his career as a head coach: he will take charge of Agropecuario in the Primera Nacional, the second tier of Argentine football. According to the Argentine News Agency, the football icon of “Globo” will return to the world of football after retiring in 2022 while wearing the jersey of the aforementioned club from Parque Patricios. Additionally, Ferro Carril Oeste presented Juan Manuel Sara as the new head coach of the club, after they reached an agreement with Sergio “Huevo” Rondina to terminate his contract, due to the team's current instability. After announcing the dismissal of coach Adrián Adrover, the Carlos Casares team placed all its trust in “Pato” Toranzo, a distinguished Argentine football player who will be in charge of a squad for the first time. At 44 years old, Toranzo had been serving as Adrover's assistant coach since last week, so his first stage as a head coach will begin with prior knowledge of who his players will be, as well as the current situation and day-to-day life of the club, which has accumulated eight points in eight matches, staying one point away from the relegation positions in Zone B. On the other hand, Juan Manuel Sara will return to lead Ferro to face the continuity of the season in the Primera Nacional. The former Huracán player had to miss the last match against San Martín de Tucumán and will be out of the fields for several weeks. Finally, Deportivo Morón remembered its promotion to Nacional B in the 1989/1990 season, 36 years having passed since the “Gallo”'s 2-0 victory over Defensores de Belgrano, which made it champion of the Primera B Metropolitana in the penultimate round. The coach comes from directing Estudiantes de Caseros during the second half of 2025 and the first six matches of the current season, in which he could not add any points. Furthermore, Sara already knows the “Verdolaga” club from Caballito: he had a brief spell that lasted eight matches in 2023, with one win, three draws, and four defeats, and he also wore the club's jersey in his final years as a player, between 2012 and 2014. On the other hand, Gimnasia y Esgrima de Jujuy informed of the change in time for its match against Almagro at the 23 de Agosto stadium, which will be played this Sunday at 15:30, 30 minutes earlier than previously scheduled. For its part, Deportivo Madryn confirmed that winger Gabriel Gudiño was successfully operated on for a meniscus injury in his left knee.
