Buenos Aires, April 12 (NA) – Tigre drew 0-0 with Atlético Tucumán in a match with few but clear-cut chances. The game took place tonight at the José Fierro Monumental Stadium for the 14th matchday of the 2026 Apertura Tournament. According to the Argentine News Agency, the clearest chance of the game came from the visitors in the 21st minute of the second half. It was a great free kick by midfielder Gonzalo 'Pity' Martínez, which goalkeeper Luis Ingolotti managed to clear, only for the ball to hit the crossbar and go wide. With the draw, 'Matador' goes two months without a win and sits eighth in Zone B of the Apertura with 18 points. Meanwhile, the team coached by Julio César Falcioni managed to add a point to reach 13th place in the group with 10 points, moving five points away from the relegation zone on the annual table. In the next round, Diego Dabove's team will host Huracán on Monday, April 20, at 21:45, while 'Decano' will play on Saturday, 18, at the same time, visiting Argentinos Juniors. The first incident of the match was non-sporting: shortly after the 10th minute of the first half, a group of 'Decano' hooligans climbed the Olympic fence, with some of them getting to the inner side of the pitch and approaching a few meters from the field of play, causing the match to be interrupted. The first chance of the game was for the home team in the 29th minute, when midfielder Ezequiel Ham controlled a ball inside the area and assisted striker Leandro 'Loco' Díaz, who was unmarked and shot first-time with his left foot, although the shot lacked power and was stopped by goalkeeper Felipe Zenobio. In the sixth minute of added time in the first half, a one-two between striker Alfio Oviedo and 'Pity' Martínez left the Paraguayan striker face-to-face with Ingolotti, who narrowed the angle in time and was able to stop his shot with his left arm. In the second half, in the 10th minute, a cross from the right by winger Tiago Serrago reached striker Santiago López, who ran past the ball and resorted to a last resort by chipping it, although his shot went over the crossbar. In the 21st minute, a free kick from the edge of the box by midfielder Gonzalo Martínez was very powerful towards the far post of Ingolotti, but the goalkeeper managed to put his hand to deflect a ball that subsequently hit the crossbar, in a great display of reflexes.
