Meanwhile, Acassuso remained in eleventh place in group A with nine points, in addition to accumulating four consecutive defeats in the tournament. At the start of the match, Joaquín Iturrería set up a 4-4-2 formation with Mauro Leguiza in goal; Lautaro Díaz Laharque, Genaro Cepeda, Fernando González, and Pablo Casarico in the defensive line; Maximiliano Rogoski, Jesús Camaño, Marcos Roseti, and Agustín Campana in midfield; and Elías Torancio and Jeremías Perales in attack.
