On Wednesday, April 8, Midland defeated Acassuso by the minimum margin in a match that was postponed from the seventh round of the Primera Nacional, the second division of Argentine football. With this win, the “Funebrero” climbed the standings and placed fourth in Zone B with 12 points, from 3 wins, 3 draws, and 1 loss. Meanwhile, Acassuso remained in eleventh place in group A with nine points, in addition to accumulating four consecutive defeats in the tournament. At the start of the match, Joaquín Iturrería set up a 4-4-2 formation with Mauro Leguiza in goal; Lautaro Díaz Laharque, Genaro Cepeda, Fernando González, and Pablo Casarico in the defensive line; Maximiliano Rogoski, Jesús Camaño, Marcos Roseti, and Agustín Campana in midfield; and Elías Torancio and Jeremías Perales in attack.
