According to the Argentine News Agency, the start date for the next transfer window is July 9, a month and a half after the conclusion of the Professional Football League's Apertura tournament. It will coincide with the final days of the 2026 World Cup, which will take place in the United States, Canada, and Mexico from June 19 to July 19. Finally, the transfer window will close on September 2, although it is often extended for a few more days or weeks, depending on the decision of the Argentine Football Association. Currently, the First Division clubs that are barred from making transfers are Atlético Tucumán, Banfield, Unión de Santa Fe, Estudiantes de La Plata, Independiente, and Sarmiento.
