Buenos Aires, March 29 (NA) – Huracán defeated Olimpo 2-1 in an action-packed match played tonight at Estudiantes' Ciudad de Caseros stadium, for the Round of 32 of the 2026 Argentine Cup. According to the Argentine News Agency, the Parque Patricios team prevailed with goals from midfielder Óscar Romero and defender Lucas Blondel, while the partial equalizer had been scored by forward Enzo Coacci. With the victory, “Globo” advanced to the Round of 16 of the tournament, where it will face Barracas Central, a club against which it has suffered controversial refereeing in its last two encounters. The first chance of the game was for Huracán, at 13 minutes, with a shot from the edge of the area by Lucas Blondel that hit the crossbar. “Globo” opened the scoring seven minutes later, with a free kick from the right side of the area by midfielder Óscar Romero, who aimed for the far post and was helped by the late reaction of goalkeeper Juan Pablo Lungarzo, who was screened and couldn't prevent the ball from going in at the far post. The partial equalizer came at 36 minutes, with a cross from the right by midfielder Cristian Amarilla to Enzo Coacci, who surprised with a run to the near post and headed it into the goal. Huracán had the first dangerous approach of the first half at 15 minutes, with a double stepover by winger Óscar Cortés on the left side of the area, whose shot from the edge of it went low and to the near post, deflected to a corner by Lungarzo. It was from that corner, a minute later, when Lucas Blondel was able to take advantage of a rebound to shoot a volley, striking with the outside of his foot, which went in low under Olimpo's goalkeeper's left post.
