The Argentina national team, which had a day off on Sunday and held a football practice match against the Under-20 team led by Diego Placente at the Ezeiza training ground, will begin the second and final week of training in this new FIFA window.
In the practice match, divided into two 40-minute halves, the squad led by Lionel Scaloni won 1-0 thanks to a goal from José Manuel López following a good team play. This session served as a preparation for the upcoming match the team will play at La Bombonera stadium on Tuesday against Zambia.
The training included playing minutes for several players. The starting lineup was: Rulli; Gay, Martínez Quarta, Otamendi, Tagliafico; Barco, Paredes, Exequiel Palacios; Prestianni, José López, and Nico Paz. Another field session is scheduled for the same day (time to be confirmed), where the coaching staff will begin to outline the next steps as the preparation phase concludes.
Additionally, Lionel Scaloni will hold a press conference (time to be determined), where it is expected he will analyze the team's current form—having expressed his dissatisfaction after the match against Mauritania—and outline the immediate objectives for the Albiceleste in this final stage of preparation before the World Cup in the United States, Mexico, and Canada.
