The Argentine national team trained on Wednesday at their Ezeiza facility in preparation for the international friendly match against Mauritania on Friday. According to the Argentine News Agency, the team coached by Lionel Scaloni completed its second day of training ahead of two friendly matches at La Bombonera stadium: against Mauritania on Friday and against Zambia on Tuesday. Following a brief video analysis session, players began their training around 5 PM with exercises in the gym for twenty minutes, followed by a warm-up on the field. After this initial conditioning, the coaching staff decided for defenders to carry out position-specific movements assisted by Roberto Ayala and Walter Samuel, while the rest worked on finishing. As the final activity of the day, the coaching staff divided the group into four for a small-sided football tournament. This Thursday, head coach Lionel Scaloni is scheduled to hold a press conference at 4 PM. Two hours after this activity, the players will have their last training session before the match against Mauritania on Friday at 8:15 PM at La Bombonera stadium. For this match against the African side and with one more training session to go, the coach would plan to use a team with the usual starters, captain Lionel Messi among them. The only doubts Scaloni would have for the match against Mauritania are the presence of defender Nicolás Otamendi and midfielder Rodrigo de Paul. Both could start as substitutes on Friday, with their replacements being Marcos Senesi and Leandro Paredes, respectively. Thus, the team that could play against Mauritania would be: Emiliano Martínez; Nahuel Molina, Cristian Romero, Nicolás Otamendi, Marcos Senesi, Nicolás Tagliafico; Rodrigo de Paul, Leandro Paredes, Enzo Fernández, Alexis Mac Allister, Thiago Almada; Julián Álvarez and Lionel Messi.
