Buenos Aires, March 8 (NA) – Argentine driver Franco Colapinto (Alpine) narrowly avoided a serious accident at the start of the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix, thanks to his quick reflexes. Colapinto started 14th on the Albert Park circuit and was hoping to score points to open the season. However, he had to dodge New Zealander Liam Lawson, whose Racing Point stalled on the start, which caused Colapinto to quickly drop three positions. To make matters worse, the Argentine was later penalized and fell to last place.
