San Miguel kicked off the Nacional tournament with a 1-0 victory over Central Norte at the Estadio Malvinas Argentinas and secured their first three points of the championship. The home team made the difference from the start and maintained their advantage without major scares. According to the Argentine News Agency, the only goal of the match came four minutes into the first half. Following a corner kick that fell into the area, Lucas Delgado appeared with a header to beat goalkeeper Vázquez and make it 1-0. It was the first clear chance and it turned out to be decisive. Central Norte, led by Adrián Bastía, tried to react but showed inaccuracies typical of the start of the season and generated little danger. San Miguel, on the other hand, had two clear chances to extend the lead: a shot after a goalkeeper's error that was saved on the line by Enriquez, and a one-on-one that Vázquez managed to keep out.
