AFA to Broadcast Second Division Itself

The AFA failed to agree with companies on broadcasting the Primera Nacional and will stream matches itself via the LPF Play app. The first month is free, followed by a paid subscription. Clubs will earn revenue from broadcasts.

AFA to Broadcast Second Division Itself

The Argentine Football Association (AFA) has not reached an agreement with various companies for the broadcasting of the Primera Nacional and will handle the broadcast of the second division on its own. According to information from the Argentine News Agency, the country's main football body rejected the offers and retained the broadcasting rights for the second division after lengthy negotiations with different parties. AFA decided that all matches will be broadcast through the application of the Professional Football League, LPF Play. The first month of the subscription will be free, after which it will become paid. While there is no estimated cost for the subscription after the free month, it is speculated that it will cost 10 US dollars, equivalent to 14,000 Argentine pesos. It is estimated that each club in the division will receive 65 million pesos from the broadcasts. This measure also applies to the divisions below the Primera Nacional, from Primera B Metropolitana to Federal A. In the case of Primera B Metropolitana teams, the clubs will receive 20 million pesos, while in Primera C and Federal A they will receive 12 million.
