The Argentine Football Association (AFA) has decided to accept the request for amnesty, as a result of which all sanctions have been annulled ahead of the start of the Torneo Apertura of the Professional Football League. The decision was communicated through Bulletin No. 6,809 Bis II, which was accessed by the Argentine News Agency. It resolved to «grant a general amnesty for all pending sanctions as of the current date, corresponding to the competitions of the 2025 season, with the transfer of this to the Tribunal for its implementation». In said bulletin, it was clarified that «disciplinary bodies base their decisions mainly on the statutes, regulations and resolutions of the AFA authorities, corresponding to this Tribunal to instrumentalize the decision adopted by the Board of Directors within the framework of its competencies». This measure mainly benefits Estudiantes de La Plata, current Argentine football champions, as their players had been suspended for turning their backs on the Rosario Central players in the hallway in protest of the League Champion title invented by the AFA to reward 'El Canalla'.
