Boca Juniors President Juan Román Riquelme commented on the club's transfer policy, stating, "We shouldn't go crazy" due to the demands of fans for new signings ahead of the 2026 season. According to the Argentine News Agency, the former creative midfielder and club idol gave a television interview where he detailed the current transfer window before the clash with Colombian side Millonarios in the Miguel Ángel Russo Cup. "We have many tournaments, the Copa Libertadores, which we will play again, is very important, it's also important for the fans, we hope to make it to the end," added the blue and gold leader. On the other hand, Riquelme did not go into much detail about the players he has targeted to reinforce the team, but hinted that the signing of Marino Hinestroza from Atlético Nacional is imminent.
