Bruno Valdez to Leave Boca Juniors and Return to Cerro Porteño

Buenos Aires, Jan 10 (NA) -- Paraguayan defender Bruno Valdez will leave Boca Juniors and return to Cerro Porteño, although it is yet to be determined if his exit will be through contract termination or a transfer. According to the Argentine News Agency, the defender will not be considered by coach Claudio Úbeda and his future will once again be with the club from his country, this time definitively. After several loans, Valdez had recently returned to Boca, but his continuity was never part of the technical staff's sporting plans. The defender was loaned out twice to Cerro Porteño and even had to renew his link with Xeneize after suffering a ligament injury, although it was always considered that his cycle at the club was over. With Valdez's departure and the arrival of Marino Hinestroza, Boca will now count on five foreign footballers: Williams Alarcón, Ander Herrera, Carlos Palacios, Edinson Cavani, and Hinestroza himself, as well as Marcelo Saracchi, who is currently on loan at Celtic in Scotland. Now, with the agreement already in progress, only the formal mechanism of his exit remains to be resolved. Boca is analyzing the possibility of making a transfer, even for a minimal amount, with the aim of recovering some of the money invested.
