Independiente Rivadavia to Play Copa Libertadores 2026 at Bautista Gargantini

Independiente Rivadavia, the club from Mendozano, has confirmed that it will participate in the 2026 Copa Libertadores. To meet CONMEBOL's requirements, the team will play its matches at the Bautista Gargantini Stadium and relocate its base to the Malvinas Argentinas Stadium in the Cuyo province. This decision is part of the club's institutional strategy, according to Agencia Noticias Argentinas. In June, during the World Cup break, work on access to dressing rooms, the playing field, and other facilities at the Bautista Gargantini Stadium will begin.

The club will also compete in the Apertura Tournament at this stadium and the group stage of the Copa Libertadores at Malvinas Argentinas, following the model used by Godoy Cruz from Mendoza when it did not have its own stadium. During the second half of the year, Independiente Rivadavia will play the Clausura Tournament at the Malvinas Argentinas Stadium, which will continue to be under renovation. In this way, the club will ensure adequate facilities for its international and local competitions.
