After announcing the signings of midfielders Fausto Vera and Aníbal Moreno, the club has accelerated negotiations for Santino Andino and is in advanced talks. According to the Argentine News Agency, the millionaire club is on track for the 20-year-old attacker to become their third reinforcement for the upcoming season. The Mendoza-based forward currently plays for Godoy Cruz, but the recent relegation of 'The Tomb' to the Primera Nacional has opened the door for the young player, who has past experience with the Argentina U20 squad – he participated in the 2025 U-20 World Cup in Chile – to seek a possible exit from the club. In the coming days, the Board of Directors of River and Godoy Cruz will meet to finalize details regarding Andino's transfer.
