Buenos Aires, Dec 16 (NA) — A San Lorenzo fan reported being hit by the van transporting club president Marcelo Moretti during a board of directors meeting held this Tuesday at the club.
The young man stated that the president was a passenger in the vehicle and that the incident occurred near the Pedro Bidegain stadium.
According to the complaint, the episode took place after the meeting was adjourned at noon. He was sitting on the passenger side while another person was driving.
«He reversed to leave because he was stopped at a traffic light, turned right, I was on my bike, he hit the front wheel, and ran over my left foot,» he affirmed.
Following the incident, Lucas was assisted by police officers who were at the stadium. «The police took my information, but with all the complaints they have, I think this is the least of it, and if they haven't done anything about everything they have, even less about this,» he expressed.
The fan also expressed his anger over the club's institutional situation: «More than anything, it's about the club, I don't give a damn about the bike. That's just material. They've been doing this for a long time and they don't care,» he stated.
The victim, identified as Lucas, claimed he recognized the official's vehicle and decided to follow it. In an interview with TyC Sports, which compiled information from the Argentine News Agency, the young man recounted how the situation originated: «I followed the van for about 200 meters, and when it arrived, I stopped at the passenger door. I started cursing at him, I hit the window.»
To date, the club has not issued an official statement about the incident or a public response from Moretti.
