Franco Colapinto Reflects on a Challenging F1 Season

Argentine driver Franco Colapinto (Alpine) concluded the 2025 Formula 1 season with a message of self-criticism and gratitude, reflecting on a year marked by sporting difficulties but also by the strengthening of the team's internal work. "I think I take many things with me from this season: a team that did not give up despite the bad results we had," Colapinto stated. He acknowledged that his performance was below expectations but emphasized the importance of the experience gained throughout the year and the team's unity during the most complex moments. "This is very important and it prepares us for when things get better," the Argentine driver said when assessing the championship. "So, there is still a lot to improve, but thank God this year is over," he added, making it clear that the focus is now on the next season. In the final race, as he did all year, Colapinto suffered from the poor performance of his Alpine, accompanied by his very weak qualifying results, and finished in last place, behind his teammate, Frenchman Pierre Gasly. He was the only driver who failed to score points during the season, along with Australian Jack Doohan, who only competed in the first six rounds, and he closed the year in 20th place in the standings.
