Giménez Promised Boca Victory Against River in Superclásico

Boca's forward Milton Giménez stated that "we are going to win" the Superclásico against River Plate, which will take place on Sunday, November 9th, at La Bombonera for the 15th matchday of the 2025 Torneo Clausura. In a radio interview, the 29-year-old striker, who came off a brace in Boca's 3-1 victory over Barracas Central, expressed confidence and shared his feelings about the crucial match against the 'millionaire' squad. Additionally, he explained the reasons for his conviction and optimism for the pivotal duel, as both teams are vying for a spot in the next edition of the Copa Libertadores. "We started knowing we had to win, no matter what," expressed Giménez after scoring two highly valuable goals for Boca's aspirations in the tournament. Lastly, he took the opportunity to send a strong message to the xeneize fans. "Stay calm, we are doing everything possible," he assured. "Because we are fine," the former Banfield player stated. "Be calm, we are going to achieve it," he concluded. Boca is going through a difficult year from a sporting perspective, but securing qualification for the continent's most prestigious tournament and defeating River at home could somewhat mask the poor performance of the blue and gold squad. "We have all finals and we must play them that way," he said. "We feel that same anxiety, and we have it too. It was clear that we took this match as a final," he added. The La Ribera side will visit Estudiantes de La Plata next Sunday at 4:00 PM, while the Núñez side will host Gimnasia y Esgrima on the same day starting at 8:30 PM.
