Giorgio Costantini Makes Debut for River Plate

Giorgio Costantini, a talented offensive midfielder aged 18 born in Curitiba, has captured attention at River Plate. Despite his Brazilian origins, Costantini has strong Argentine roots, with family from San Juan, and a passion for the Millonario inherited from his grandfather, Constantino Francisco Costantini, a fervent admirer of River's mythical forward line, 'La Máquina'.

On Sunday, River triumphed over Atlético Tucumán in a jubilant Monumental, which witnessed the debut of Giorgio Costantini, an 18-year-old Brazilian who has shone in the Reserve. Costantini, a versatile left-footed player who can perform as a playmaker, internal midfielder, or double pivot, is characterized by his excellent vision of the game.

Giorgio began his football journey at the age of 9 in a school of Paranaense, then moved to the youth ranks of Coritiba, their classic rival, before returning to Paranaense, where he stayed for almost five years. His standout performances in the youth teams caught the attention of Pichi Escudero, who brought him into River's Reserve.

His talent did not go unnoticed, and both Martín Demichelis and Marcelo Gallardo called him up for training with the first team.
