After the serious incidents that took place during the classic match between Huracán and San Lorenzo last Sunday, the City Football Safety Committee decided to sanction 29 Huracán fans, banning them from entering any stadium for a period of 48 months. These violent events occurred at Tomás Adolfo Ducó Stadium when two factions of fans clashed in the popular stand just before the start of the match.
These disturbances led to the identification of the responsible individuals, who were apprehended at Gate 6 of the stadium thanks to the security cameras. The Specialized Prosecutor's Office for Mass Events took charge of the case and filed contravention records for the acts of incitement to disorder and fighting.
As part of the security operation deployed during the event, three people were arrested: one for attempted theft, another for threats and damage, and another with an arrest warrant for robbery. Additionally, 25 individuals who were engaged in the activity of "trapitos" were also detained.
This is not the first time the City Football Safety Committee has taken drastic measures against fans who engage in violence. Previously, in October 2024, supporters of Defensores de Belgrano were banned for four years for assaulting City Police officers. The Minister of Security of Buenos Aires, Waldo Wolff, stated that exemplary sanctions will be applied to prevent these violent behaviors from recurring in the stadiums, declaring that "they will be kept out of the stadiums for years."
It is evident that the authorities are taking strong measures to ensure safety at sporting events and to avoid risk situations for spectators and security personnel at the stadiums.
