Boca defeated Aldosivi with a score of 2:1. In the match, which took place this evening at the "La Bombonera" stadium as part of the second round of the Torneo Apertura, Boca prevailed over Aldosivi from Mar del Plata. Luis Advincula and Miguel Merentiel scored for Boca in the 4th and 39th minutes of the second half respectively, while Tygano Serragó distinguished himself at the 18th minute of the second half for the guests.
Boca remains in second place in Group A along with Argentinos (who have a match in hand), both teams trailing just one point behind the leaders - Estudiantes. Under the guidance of Fernando Gago, the team dominated in the first half, but could not break the resistance of the visitors.
At the start of the second half, Boca was again in control, and at the 4th minute, the breakthrough came - Advincula scored with a stunning shot from the left corner of the field. However, at the 18th minute, Serragó equalized the score. But, literally in the final minutes of the match, Merentiel capitalized on a mistake from the defender after a Gimenes shot and scored the winning goal for the hosts.
With this victory, Boca rises to second place in Group A, still trailing the leaders by just a little. Gago was pleased with the result, but the team will continue the fight in the Copa Libertadores, to which he intends to direct his attention going forward.
