The President of France, Emmanuel Macron, expressed his commitment to strengthening cooperation with Argentina after meeting with Javier Milei at the Casa Rosada. Macron highlighted through his official social media that both countries will continue working together, especially in key areas such as the economy, defense, and innovation. The dialogue between both nations is fundamental for relations between Europe and Latin America, according to the European leader before the upcoming G20 Summit.

The bilateral meeting between Macron and Milei took place after a dinner at the Olivos residence and lasted for more than an hour in the presidential office. Upon leaving, the delegation accompanied Macron, including the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Worship, Gerardo Werthein, and the Minister of Defense, Luis Petri. Subsequently, Macron met with Argentine business leaders and took photographs with Milei in the Salón Blanco of the Government House, where the French First Lady Brigitte Macron and the Secretary General of the Presidency, Karina Milei, were also present.

Before departing, Macron and Milei greeted supporters from the balcony of the Casa Rosada. In the morning, Macron visited the Church of the Holy Cross for a ceremony in honor of the French nuns murdered during the military dictatorship. Later, in Plaza San Martín, he paid tribute to General José de San Martín, a symbol of the historical relationship between Argentina and France.

Macron's visit to Argentina precedes the G20 Summit to be held in Rio de Janeiro, which will be hosted by Inácio Lula Da Silva. During the summit, global issues such as the fight against hunger, climate change, and trade tensions between blocs will be addressed.
