The national government is evaluating the possibility of demolishing the old building that housed the Ministry of Social Development due to its poor condition and impact on traffic on a central avenue in the city. The Chief of Cabinet, Guillermo Francos, noted that this idea of demolition is not new and has been considered by various administrations over the years.

"It is a building that is not only in bad condition, but also hinders traffic on a central avenue in the city," mentioned Francos, recalling that this issue has been discussed since the 1990s, when he was a city councilor in Buenos Aires.

The current Chief of Cabinet emphasized that Minister Sandra Pettovello is reviewing the Ministry's infrastructure and evaluating the need to maintain or not the building in question, considering its high operational costs due to its poor condition. Francos emphasized that demolition could be a viable alternative given the current situation of the building.

In this sense, the possibility is raised that the old building of the Ministry of Social Development may be demolished due to its precarious conditions and its impact on urban circulation, being a measure that is being considered due to its high maintenance costs. Minister Pettovello is conducting a thorough analysis of the Ministry's infrastructure to determine the feasibility of maintaining that headquarters, taking into account the conditions and associated costs.
