A document alleged that a Russian task force, named 'The Company', disbursed US$ 283,000 to finance over 250 articles in 23 Argentine digital media outlets with the aim of undermining the management of La Libertad Avanza.
One of the journalists who was denied entry told the Argentine News Agency that he learned of the situation when he tried to enter.
Despite the rain, the journalist presented data and was told that, by order of the Chief of Staff of the Presidency, Karina Milei, his entry pass had been revoked.
Buenos Aires, April 6 (NA) — A group of journalists accredited to the Casa Rosada were not allowed to enter the building this Monday, on the grounds that the media they work for were allegedly involved in the information network financed by Russian espionage to undermine the government, which was denounced days ago.
Libertarian officials emphasized that the measure was 'preventive'.
Moreover, in the Javier Milei administration, they plan to 'summon one by one the responsible executives of each of those media outlets'.
'If it is proven, a complaint will be filed which could be for treason or foreign interference,' they specified.
The government based its decision on the journalists on an article published last week by the organization openDemocracy.
'They didn't give us any further explanations,' one of them lamented.
