Milei Calls Cabinet Meeting to Strengthen Government Unity

President Javier Milei will begin a new Cabinet meeting this week. The objective of the meeting, in addition to the agenda items related to the reform package, is to show and reinforce unity within the National Government, following the impeachment of one of the President's trusted officials, Manuel Adorni, for alleged illegal enrichment.

The meeting scheduled for this Monday at noon at the Casa Rosada will be attended by several officials from Milei's inner circle. In addition to Adorni, the attendance of the Secretary of the Presidency, Karina Milei; the presidential advisor Santiago Caputo; the President of the Chamber of Deputies, Martín Menem; and the Minister of the Interior, Diego Santilli, is expected, among others.

After a turbulent week due to accusations against Adorni for his undeclared properties and for unclear invoices about his foreign trips, the National Government plans to outline the tasks with each ministry for the 'second stage of the administration'; it is also rumored that the head of the Cabinet will begin a series of individual meetings with certain officials throughout the week to delve mainly into issues of National Security, Defense, and Health.

This meeting, in addition to the central points that will determine the coming days of work, will also serve as a political gesture of support for Adorni and give an image of internal cohesion, after the impeachment of Adorni affected the National Executive Branch.
