Buenos Aires, March 25 (NA) – National Senator Patricia Bullrich stated that the family of Agostina Páez is going through a moment of “desperation” and denounced that political leaders may have conditioned actions related to the case in exchange for public recognition. In a message posted on social media, Bullrich emphasized that the family's priority is “to have her back home” and stressed that they are not willing to get involved in political disputes. “They are not for speculation or political games,” she stated, as reported by the Argentine News Agency. In this context, the official accused Deputy Marcela Pagano and former President Alberto Fernández, asserting that both would have conditioned contact on a public thank you, something that the family would have rejected. Bullrich also highlighted the work of Foreign Minister Pablo Quirno and the Argentine consulate, assuring that they have been working on the case “from day one” and are carrying out the negotiations “responsibly and without a show.” “The goal is one and only: Agostina at home,” affirmed the Senator, who also criticized those who “use a family's pain for political purposes” amidst the situation the young woman is facing abroad.
