Adorni's Assets Scandal Rocks Argentine Politics

Argentina's Chief of Staff, Manuel Adorni, is at the center of a scandal over undisclosed assets. Official documents link him to a luxury gated community, contradicting his public statements.

Buenos Aires, March 25, 2026 - Manuel Adorni tried to put an end to a series of accusations and rumors about his assets, travels, and spending levels with a direct message from the Casa Rosada, where he looked nervous and stumbled over his words. He asserted that he has 'nothing to hide,' emphasized that his fortune was built before joining the government, and stated that he will not provide details while judicial cases are ongoing. The controversy remains open because, while Adorni denies irregularities and seeks refuge in the ongoing judicial investigation, some of the information known in recent days did not come from anonymous rumors, but from an exclusive report by Total News Agency regarding the property in a gated community and from records and documentation reviewed by national media. This fact shifted the axis of the debate: it is no longer just a political accusation, but a real estate operation whose existence is backed by cadastral documentation. In addition, another sensitive point has come under scrutiny. While Adorni insists he lives in Caballito and rejects versions linking him to a residence in a gated community, sources in Exaltación de la Cruz claimed to have seen him daily in Indio Cuá and that the Jeep registered in the official's name is often seen at lot 380. According to the expanded complaint and reports reproduced by various media, the maintenance fees for lot 380 began to appear in the name of Bettina Angeletti, with amounts close to 700,000 pesos per month.
