Ferraro calls for Chief of Staff Adorni's resignation

Buenos Aires, March 22 (NA) – National Deputy and president of the Civic Coalition (CC), Maximiliano Ferraro, stated that the Chief of Staff, Manuel Adorni, “should step aside” following his trip to New York with his wife, Bettina Angeletti, and for not declaring a luxury house in her name. In television statements, he asserted that a government official “cannot not have their sworn statement updated” and that there cannot be continued “confusion between the public and the private”: “I am an opponent of La Libertad Avanza (LLA), but I am a genuine opponent, and we see a mechanism of confusion between the public and the private. The Chief of Staff cannot not have their sworn statement updated and he omitted his wife's house, when he is legally obliged to do so, as she is his spouse, his family. There was also no 'kuka risk' when he put his wife on the plane,” he pointed out on TN. Likewise, he recalled the cases in which the President of the Nation, Javier Milei, and his sister and Presidential Secretary, Karina Milei, are involved, such as the bribery case in ANDIS and the $Libra crypto-scam, the latter with an ongoing investigation driven by the National Congress. Last week, a request for reports and access to public information directed at Milei was formalized in the Investigation Commission chaired by Ferraro, regarding the dissemination of the cryptocurrency. Additionally, motions for the summons of Karina Milei and Adorni were presented, with the objective that they “appear before the Chamber of Deputies” to provide “the pertinent explanations.” Another of the complaints includes requests for information on trips abroad, such as private flights to Punta del Este and New York, apparently financed with public funds or by state-linked companies.
