Buenos Aires, March 18 (NA) – The Senate held an ordinary session this Wednesday to process the nominations of Carlos Mahiques, father of Minister of Justice Juan Bautista Mahiques, and former Neuquén legislator Lucila Crexell as ambassadors to Canada. The session also covered international agreements with France and Austria. The session was opened by the President of the Senate, Victoria Villarruel, and began with a tribute to former Senator and former Mayor of Rosario, Horacio 'Vasco' Usandizaga, and former Chaco legislator Antonio Rodas. The main objective for the ruling party in this first session is to approve the nominations of Carlos Mahiques, Lucila Crexell, and six military officers, who will then be considered by the Agreements Committee. Additionally, two international agreements signed with France and Austria, and another one from the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) from 2009 will be debated. A resolution project backed by all blocs and presented with the signatures of Patricia Bullrich, head of La Libertad Avanza (LLA), and Peronist leader José Mayans, will also be discussed. The project aims to eliminate the publication of requests from judges and prosecutors in the country's largest circulation newspapers. News in development...
