A hotel in Balvanera that was occupied and had numerous irregularities was closed following a general inspection. The procedure was carried out by personnel from the Judicial Investigation Corps (CIJ) of the City's Public Prosecutor's Office, the City Police's Division of Contraventions and Offenses, the Crime Scene Division of the same force, the General Directorate of Inspection and Control (DGFYC), the General Directorate of Immediate Attention - Buenos Aires Present Program (B.A.P), and the Auxiliary and Emergency Guard (GAYE) of the City Government. The present agencies conducted a census of the people living in the property, and the entry of new occupants to the establishment was prohibited, as well as a comprehensive survey and sketch of the place. Finally, the closure of the hotel and the drawing up of the corresponding minutes were ordered. So far, the authorities have not communicated what happened to the people who were living in the place irregularly. Nicolás Bernareggi, in charge of the Prosecution Office in Criminal, Contravention and Offense No. 11, ordered a comprehensive inspection of a hotel located on Rivadavia avenue at 3100, Balvanera, with the purpose of verifying the operating conditions. According to confirmed to the Argentine News Agency, during the control operation it was established that part of the property was illegally occupied. Likewise, numerous irregularities and breaches in terms of security, hygiene, and maintenance were detected. Among the serious problems, cracks, rooted vegetation, and detachment of plaster on the facade facing the public way were verified, among other issues.
